Northern
Ireland's leading clay pigeon shooting facility, Foymore Lodge Country
Pursuits, will coordinate all the clay pigeon shooting competitions at
the National Countrysports Fair this year.
The
Burnside Clay Pigeon Club from Co. Antrim has been appointed to run 40 target
re-entry sporting clay pigeon shoot and
at the event. This, along with a "pool Trap" will run on both days
with generous cash prices for the winning shooters.
The clay pigeon shoots will commence at 10:00
each day of the fair with the last cards being issued to shooters at
16:00. Competitors should
note that only fibre/bio-degradable wad cartridges can be shot at the
clay events at the National Countrysports Fair to negate any damage to
the environment.
The clay shoots at the National
Countrysports Fair are re-entry competitions. Shooters should note that if they are
registered in any discipline of clay pigeon shooting they will be
considered as "classified" shooters for competition purposes at the
this event.
There is forward car parking
for clay pigeon competitors who should follow the "Clay Shoot"
directional signs when approaching the fair.

BASC Coaching Line
The British Association for Shooting & Conservation (BASC) will
man a Shotgun Shooting Coaching Line on both days of the fair.
Anyone over the age of 18 years can try their hand at
clay pigeon shooting here under the guidance of BASC accredited
shooting coaches.
This was a very oversubscribed event
last year and whilst there is no need to pre-register for the
coaching line, those wishing to have-a-go at clay pigeon
shooting may be allocated a time slot.
Staff on the BASC stand at the clay pigeon shoot will
take entries throughout the days of the event.
