Ferrets & Ferreting at the Fair   The keeping of ferrets as both working animals and pets is one of the fastest growing pastimes in Ireland with hundreds of people of all ages and both genders participating. Recognising this popular activity the organisers of the National Countrysports Fair at Moira Demesne and at its sister event, the National Country fair at Borris House have organised a number of activities to interest everyone interested in ferrets and ferreting and indeed those who know nothing about these remarkable little creatures. Our ferret displays at the 2013 National Countrysports Fair range from ferret racing to ferret shows and working ferrets to pet ferrets. Local enthusiasts will be on hand at the Ferret World stand to answer questions, to let you handle the ferrets and show you just how much enjoyment these wonderful animals bring.
